Being Lazy is Glorious
Dear Reader,
As the title of this post suggests, I extol the virtues of sloth. However, I realize that without a post here and there, people probably won't read this blog.
After a long weekend of watching football, playing xbox, and drinking Harp, I have made a resolution of sorts. I will attempt to find something to write about at least a few times a week, so that my blogs are less scarce than a black Michael Jackson.
Today the topic is youtube.com. Basically all I have to say about it is that if it were to somehow cease to exist, my day would go from mostly meaningless to completely and utterly void of meaning. Where else could I spend my day watching pirated copies of South Park and Eddie Murphy stand up? Not Google video.
So today I salute youtube.com, a site completely without any real tangible societal benefit aside from making everyday assholes into quasi-celebrity assholes and promoting products for next to nothing.
Every time I think about youtube, a website that has yet to produce a profit, and its 1.5 billion dollar selling price, it reminds me of what a great country America is and how truly amazing the internet is.
Every time I think about youtube, I get on my knees and thank God that I don't live in some backwater banana republic patrolled by gun-toting religious maniacs who will sever your nose for eating a tootsie pop.
Well that and online porn.
